Clip Maintenance

We use two types of clips on our products: bent stainless with no screws (Bolt Action, Switch, Smooth Operator) and milled titanium with a screw and locating pin (Slim Bolt Action, Side Click, Pencil, Slim Switch).

Bent Clips

1. Using a pair of pliers with plastic tips (to avoid damaging the material when removing/installing), remove the back piece to access the clip. We like the Knipex Smooth Jaw pliers.
2. Hold the circle part of the clip in place and apply pressure on the clip so it's flush with the pen body
3. Reinstall the back piece with your fingers to ensure proper fit, then finish tightening with a pair of pliers with plastic tips
4. If it's still loose after resetting the clip position, you can always order a replacement clip or submit a request for repair
