Bolts can sometimes come loose and disappear into the unknown -- it happens. If a bolt goes missing and you received it within the past 30 days, submit a request and include your order number so we can coordinate replacing it under warranty.
If you've had your pen or pencil for awhile, replacement bolts can be ordered through our Spare Parts collection. Once the replacement bolt arrives, here's our guide on how to tighten loose bolts.
FAQ
Which bolt came on my pen originally?
If your pen is titanium, bronze, or copper, it would have originally come with a titanium bolt. If it was DLC titanium, a DLC bolt would have been on it. Anything made of zirconium would also feature a bolt made of zirconium. However, these parts are all interchangeable so go with whatever you think looks best.
What is the difference between the slim bolt action bolt and the pencil bolt?
For the current models, there is no difference in these parts. Older generations of pencils used a pencil-specific bolt, and we've continued keeping them separated on the website just to make it easy to find what you're looking for.
I lost my bolt on a model that is no longer sold on the website (older model, limited release, shop series), what do I do?
Drop us a line and we'll work on getting you sorted out.
What threads are used on the bolts?
Standard bolts use an 8-32UNC thread and slim/pencil bolts use a 6-32UNC.
